Lifestyles & Trends: MotherProof.com Covers the New York Auto Show

MotherProof.com Covers the New York Auto Show Mar 30 2010 by Kristin Varela

This year’s New York International Auto Show should prove to be chock-full of world and North American debuts, and MotherProof.com will be there to cover it.

While we’re curious to see the redesigned 2011 BMW 5 Series, we’re most looking forward to seeing: • 2011 Volkswagen Touareg: This SUV will sport a new look featuring aggressive styling after undergoing its most significant redesign. VW also will introduce a Touareg hybrid that’s capable of 29 mpg, according to the automaker.

• 2011 Mazda5: The Mazda microvan   is a MotherProof.com favorite. For 2011, the Mazda5 has undergone a redesign — complete with smiling grille and wavelike accent lines along its sides. We’re not sure if its new look will have us smiling or crying. Follow MotherProof.com’s New York auto show coverage in the News & Rants section.

The New York International Auto Show is held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on the lower west side of Manhattan at 11th Avenue and 35th Street. Public show dates are Friday, April 2 through Sunday, April 11, and it’s open 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $14 for adults and $4 for children ages 3-12 (ages 2 and younger are admitted for free). Groups of 10 or more pay $12 apiece.
