Go to jail, go directly to jail...
It's one of those nights. The kind of night where you're quietly contemplating life's mysteries (such as: why did Nature suddenly change the rules and give my state weather that should rightfully belong somewhere up North?) and realizing the very presence of football on your television can give you a headache (yes the TX vs. Alabama game was on here for a while tonight, no I don't know why). A night where it's below 30 degrees and the wind chill is expected to be in the single digits in some places near you the next day (the hell Texas, the hell?). A night with not enough cookies to suit you. You know, one of those kinds of nights. It's one of those nights so of course, to top it off, the psychotic neighbors next door (that always fight, especially when it's cold outside) do something unexpected- they start fighting, outside, while it's cold. I'm sure you're as stunned as I was. They were yelling last night, but our lights were out and they managed to shut up in under an hour and I only heard the f-word about three times so I thought they were getting along okay (you only think I'm joking). Tonight though there was much more f-ing this and that and I think rocks were thrown and much stupid was spread around for all four of the little houses here to enjoy. I was gearing myself up to turn out all our lights and put a "we moved and/or died, go away" sign on our door when the neighbor girl (D) ran on our porch sometime around midnight and started pounding away at the door. *the head droop and sigh of long suffering ensues* Mom answers the door and D wants the phone to call the cops (it's past 1 and I have no clue if they were ever actually called or not). There has been much yelling and profanity trading between the neighbors and my poor mother on the porch smoking (the smell of Marlboro Lights wafts in now and again) during all this nonsense. I have no idea who the man yelling outside is, whether...

I am moving to Dallas, TX to go to college. I am from WI do I have to change my car registration to TX?
Do I need to get a Texas Drivers license and TX plates or can I keep my WI ones?
If you are going to move back to WI, and have parents there that you can use as a permanent address then you don't need to change anything license, or registration wise.

Vehicle registration fees due to get an overhaul
It's not a stretch to say Texans love their pickups. They occupy a place in their hearts just below Mom, football and pecan pie. State law even gives many pickup owners a break on their annual registration fees.
But one of Texas' top transportation officials says that's not fair to drivers as a whole: There are, after all, a fair number of people in the Lone Star State who roll through life behind the wheels of sedans and sports cars.
State Rep. Joe Pickett, D-El Paso, wants to overhaul the state's complicated schedule of car registration fees. The result could mean not only a boost in state highway revenue, but also higher annual payments for those stickers that Texans affix to their windshields each year.
“It's crazy. If a brand-new car is $58 (to register), no matter what kind, and the average pickup is $54, that's not right. It should be at least $58,” said Pickett, chairman of the House transportation committee.
